Patrick was born and raised in Wisconsin where he attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Liberal Arts (Classical Percussion) and a Business Administration Minor. He studied under the direction of Dr. Jeff Crowell, Dr. Brian Claxton, and Mr. Robert Baca.

Outside of the pit, Patrick has toured internationally with the Americana band Them Coulee Boys, and also recorded their album Die Happy which made the top Americana Radio Album charts two consecutive weeks (November 2019). He was also the drummer for the Grammy-nominated Jazz Ensemble 1 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for three years.  As a member of Jazz Ensemble 1, he shared the stage with Bobby Sanabria, Grace Kelly, the New York Voices, Michael Andrew, Gunhild Carling, among others. As a concert percussionist, he has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention with the UW-Eau Claire Percussion quartet.

In addition to his full performing schedule, Patrick maintains a private studio of students ranging from beginner through advanced, teaching drum set, concert percussion, and piano.
